Our Story
In 2000, my mom rented a spot in the strip mall just up the road from our house and opened her hair salon. She hired stylists who paid booth rent, which gave her steady cash flow from day one. I was three years old when she launched the business.
That small strip mall was lined entirely with local, owner-operated businesses. Real relationships and networks were built there — and that’s where my entrepreneurial journey quietly began.
“The buzz”
In 2005, my parents took a leap of faith and purchased this beautiful, historic family home sitting on a full acre of land. What started as a labor of love quickly became the heart of our family business. They carefully renovated the entire building and moved the salon into its new home, giving birth to The Buzz Salon right here — where it has proudly remained ever since.
For years, my mom ran the salon by renting out stylist booths, building a loyal community one chair at a time.
Then in 2017, I stepped up with fresh vision and relentless drive. I enrolled at Paul Mitchell College of Cosmetology with one clear mission: to master my craft and take over the family business.
What began as simple ambition quickly became a calling. Discovering that hairstyling and barbering ran deep in our family bloodline made it undeniable — this was my destiny. I embraced it with the same commitment as signing up for military service.
While completing my hours, I spent countless evenings in the salon cutting hair for friends and family — charging just $20 a cut and using my mom’s space as my training ground. Those humble beginnings became the foundation for the destination salon we are today.
After some time, I hit a rough patch where I lost my grit, and barbering started to feel routine and uninspiring. The daily grind was outweighing everything else happening in my life. Then, at a moment when financial hope and the American Dream felt like a barren wasteland, I stumbled upon Doginal Dogs.
Their creativity and relentless drive reignited something powerful in me. They showed me how to create boldly and awakened the disciplined version of myself I had already become. Today, as a proud father to a spirited 3-year-old daughter, I’m more motivated than ever to build a lasting legacy — one that lays a strong foundation for her to chase and achieve her own dreams.
Being surrounded by visionary people has kept me aligned. Some call it alignment… I call it divine alignment.
Since then, I’ve poured everything into growing my own brand and carving out my unique legacy in the barbering world. For the past 9 years, I’ve dedicated myself to constant learning — teaching, educating, and exploring every lane of business beyond the chair. I’ve come to see investing in yourself as second nature to barbering: true success demands it.
Leaving a meaningful legacy is no small feat. That’s why I’ve spent years innovating — searching for ideas outside the box that other barbers haven’t touched. Social media is just one piece of the puzzle. I knew deep down there had to be more to this industry than simply cutting hair, and I’m committed to discovering and building it.
